SERPs(検索結果ページ)とは?構成要素とSEOへの影響を解説

SERPs are search engine results pages. Depending on the query and context, they can contain ordinary web links, ads, images, videos, maps, product information and AI-generated answers. Their composition varies by location, device, language and time.

For SEO, the useful question extends beyond position: what is the searcher trying to accomplish, what formats appear, and how does your page help them complete that task?

Recognize the main elements

Element

What it offers

What to investigate

Organic result

A page link, title and descriptive information

Match between intent and content

Ad

A paid offer and destination

Distinguish it from organic placement

Images or videos

Visual explanations and demonstrations

Whether text alone meets the need

Maps and local information

Places, hours and business details

Local or visit-related intent

Product features

Shopping and comparison information

Purchase requirements

AI features

Synthesized information and references

A different exploration experience

AI Overviews and AI Mode are not interchangeable names for the same interface. Availability and presentation vary. Neither appearance nor citation guarantees additional traffic.

Infer intent, then verify it

“What is Google Tag Manager?” may need a conceptual answer. “GA4 GTM setup” suggests implementation, while “GTM tag not firing” suggests troubleshooting. These are starting hypotheses, not substitutes for examining actual results and Search Console data.

Do not assemble every competitor heading into one oversized article. Check whether the opening answer, prerequisites, examples and next step serve the specific task. Different queries may deserve distinct articles connected by useful internal links.

Use a repeatable observation worksheet

Evaluation

Search visibility, clicks and useful on-site outcomes

One observed page is not the experience of every searcher. Keep the important market and device conditions consistent. Repeated self-searching and clicking is not a reliable measurement method.

Improve titles and snippets accurately

Write a title that represents the page and its answer. Google can generate a title link from other page information, so an SEO title field is not a guarantee of verbatim display.

Likewise, a snippet can come from the body rather than the meta description. Avoid treating a fixed character count as the sole optimization rule. Remove ambiguity, duplication and promises the article does not fulfill, and make sure the important answer exists in visible content.

Check feature support before implementing markup

Structured data helps communicate supported information; it does not guarantee a special result. Follow current feature requirements and do not describe content absent from the page.

Google ended FAQ rich results on May 7, 2026. HowTo rich results are also not a current acquisition tactic. This does not make useful questions or step-by-step instructions obsolete. Include them because they help readers, not because an old search feature once rewarded a markup type.

Evaluate changes at the right level

Compare the same page and relevant queries, countries and devices using impressions, clicks, CTR and average position. A CTR change can reflect a ranking change or a different query mix, rather than the title alone.

Use GA4 to assess whether organic visitors reach useful information or outcomes. Keep a record of the edit and evaluation period. A search result that attracts clicks but disappoints readers is not a complete success.

Keep marketing reporting consistent

Use consistent metric definitions and reporting periods when reviewing results. See NeX-Ray’s supported integrations and reporting features, or start for free.
